Martial Arts as Economies of Violence and Ethical Learning Field

In both body technologies [Capoeira and Mixed Martial Arts], "violence" is stylized and aestheticized. The Martial Arts thus appear as laboratories in which harmful intentions are synthesized and made accessible and manageable through the process of aestheticization into styles. The civilization process satisfies the curiosity about "violence" at various levels by coding it within the framework of the socially possible with the physically feasible. The more pronounced the aestheticization of violence and the more it is removed from the actual harmful, painful experience, the more suitable it is for mass consumption and thus economically exploitable.
